I am Dennis Regling. I am the administrator and author of this blog.
I live in Freeport, Ohio. A small town in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Freeport is home to three Amish communities and only an hour away from the largest Amish settlement in the world, Holmes County, Ohio.
I have many Amish friends and neighbors and love to share about their communities, their values and their culture.
I attend church with the Beachy Amish Mennonites and have for many years. My closest friends are Beachy Amish Mennonites, many of which were formerly Old Order Amish.
I have researched and written about the Amish for the past 24 years. I have friends among the Old Order Amish, the New Order Amish, and a few other groups. I have read and studied materials that their people have written. I have studied their theology and history. This does not make me an expert but I do have knowledge and experiences to share that few outside of the Amish would have.
